Folk Friday at Second April On 4/16, this coming Friday, I will be drawing pastel portraits at 2nd April's Folk Friday gathering. Unrelated Award...sort of A couple of nights ago, I received an award for my various volunteer services, mostly in the area of arts, so I decided to go ahead and post it here. My husband and I both got the "District Award of Merit" from the Boy Scouts of America. This award is the highest one to be earned at the District level. Of course with that comes the assumption one will continue to add more and more "jobs" to the resume so now I just designed our Hall of Fame float and became a Unit Commissioner for Crew 73 along with my other duties. Presentation Time once again.... Friday 3/19 in Westlake, Ohio, I will be giving a presentation to an Arts Appreciation class about the history and purpose of the "Women Series". Wednesday 3/24 is the networking event "Ladies Night in the Falls" which is the last chance to get an autographed copy of the cookbook. 4/2 I will be once again doing the First Friday drawing session at the Canton Museum of Art. The studio is open, the sun is shinning and the ideas are flowing....... Red Ribbon Connection Fundraiser Event On March 6th, you will have the chance to bid on and win a couple of my paintings for the benefit of the Red Ribbon Connection. Solo Show February 2011 I just booked my next solo exhibition for 2/2011. the gallery is in Cleveland, details to come as far as the exact location. I need to sign the official papers first. Title of the show: "Just for Laughs, Grins and Giggles are Good for the Soul". Book Signings Saturday 2/13 at Fishers on Fulton in Jackson Township, 10am until 4pm. Get your Valentine's Gift (our book) some wine and some flowers all in one location! Wednesday 3/24 at Falls Motor City in Cuyahoga Falls, 5:30pm until 8pm as part of "Ladies' Night in the Falls". Free event with lots of vendors and promotions for women (and men too)!
